Dear PS24,
I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well and enjoying the fall season. As the weather cools, please make sure children come to school dressed appropriately for outdoor play. Layers and jackets help them stay warm, comfortable, and ready to learn.
Please remember that daily attendance is essential to your child’s learning and growth.
We are now well into the school year, and I’m happy to share a few important updates. All students have been screened in ELA and Math, and are receiving the support they need. Additional intervention programs after school will begin soon, more details will follow.
Please talk with your child about their day, read together, and celebrate your family’s home language. When children see learning as part of daily life, they grow with confidence and joy. To reinforce learning at home, please encourage your child to log into Waggle daily for reading and math practice. These programs help strengthen the same skills taught in class. If you are unaware of your child’s log in, please contact the classroom teacher.
Family partnership is key to student success. Each teacher has 55 minutes of Parent Engagement time set aside weekly to connect with families, so please reach out if you have questions or would like to discuss your child’s progress.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration. Together, we’ll help every PS 24 student grow, learn, and shine!
Respectfully,
Maria Diaz
